Jubal Jubal has been a dj workhorse since 2000. Immediately after rediscovering the turntables, trip-hop, and being exposed to the lounge scene, Jubal set himself on a mission to find venues to spin at in which the atmosphere would compliment the downtempo music that he was itching to share. His enduring efforts paid off: for he found fullfillment in seeing many lounge-goers enjoy his successful dj nights that he built from the ground up. Jubal's dj ventures soon after led to the birth of Recline Sounds (founded in '03). And although downtempo is his first and biggest love, Jubal strives to keep his musical selections expanded but still yet downbeat and loungy. You’re likely to hear him mesh hip-hop, soul, reggae, world, jazz, easy-listening, and a few surprises of old-school nostalgia into his chilled-out sets. Jubal’s philosophy is that downtempo is more about a feeling than a technical music classification. Hence, if the sounds are relaxed and feel-good, then he'll use them to create his disired atmoshphere.

Alfonso DJ and percussionist Alfonso has been immersed in music since his early youth, and his passion for music continues to grow. Being exposed to and appreciating limitless genres of music has been a key factor in Alfonso’s sound. He is known for making contacts with DJs and producers worldwide and his repertoire reflects that. A collector of exotic soundtracks and easy listening treasures, Alfonso selects from rare and mostly forgotten records that he has culled from Milanese street markets, dusty basements, and Moroccan bazaars. On any given night, you can hear him mix anything from exotica to Bollywood soundtracks to Middle Eastern belly-dancing records. “His DJ sets will take you on a sonic journey around the world,” says Jubal, with whom Alfonso began DJing lounge gigs with in summer 2003. Drawing from multi-faceted soundscapes and near-eastern polyrhythms, Alfonso has fused eclectic influences to create the right atmosphere for late night encounters.
